It is with enthusiasm and joy that I bid and welcome you to participate in the 2023 USAT Connecticut State Taekwondo Championships being held this year on Sunday, April 23rd at Trumbull Insports Center in Trumbull, CT.
As the tournament is a USAT-sanctioned event, all registration must be completed online (usataekwondo.sport80.com) with no registration after the deadline per USAT rules. If you have any questions with registering online, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Connecticut State Taekwondo Association staff members. In order to ensure a smoothly run and on- schedule tournament, I strongly encourage all participants to register early. It is also important to remember that tournament day registrations are not permitted.

WEIGH-INS REQUIRED FOR ALL SPARRING COMPETITORS: Those participating in sparring divisions
MUST weigh-in or the athlete will be DISQUALIFIED from the competition without qualifying. (2 Attempts Only) All sparring competitors must be weighed in by Sunday April 23rd from 8:00am to 10:00am at Trumbull Insports Center, 29 Trefoil Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611
PENDING: Any pending athletes must clear their documents as CONFIRMED in order to receive their credentials. No athletes or coaches will receive credentials if they are PENDING. Please register and clear early. Poomsae and breaking divisions DO NOT weigh in and can just pick up credentials on April 23rd. (Check USAT Sport80 site to see status)
DESIGNATED POOMSAE: Designated Poomsae will be available on April 09, 2023.
BOARD BREAKING: Please see information packet above.
SPARRING: All Sparring Divisions will follow the Current USAT Rules. Electronic Daedo scoring system will be in use. Please note, all world class 12 years and older competitors have to bring Daedo Gen 2 socks.
